Shlapata: Recent terrorist attack on a military bus in Damascus a cowardly act

President of the Czechoslovak Institute of International Relations Jaromir Shlapata has described the terrorist bombing that recently targeted a military bus in Damascus as a cowardly  act and a clear-cut evidence about the bankruptcy of the terrorist organizations and their supporters.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague, Shalpata said “the continuation of the terrorist activities in Syria is part of the global conspiracy hatched by the United States and some western and regional states on the country to serve certain agendas.

He expressed his confidence that the Syrian people, through cohesion with the Syrian army and leadership, will foil the foreign schemes that target their country.

“Syria will continue to be a symbol of nationalist principles through its confrontation of the imperialist hegemony and its support for national forces that advocate freedom and sovereignty,” Shlapata said, expressing hope that the Syrians will soon enjoy stability and security so that they can rebuild what terrorism has destroyed.

Last Wednesday, 14 people were martyred in a terrorist attack with two explosive devices that targeted a military bus driving near Jisr Al-Raees area in Damascus.
