The Lebanese Military Court requests to hear testimony from Geagea

Beirut (ST): The Lebanese government commissioner to the military court, Judge Fadi Akiki, gave a signal to hear the testimony of the head of the Lebanese Forces militia, Samir Geagea, in the ongoing investigations into the Tayouneh massacre.

According to Al-Manar TV, follow-up judicial sources indicated that the summons comes against the background of confessions made by the detainees to the Lebanese army.

Seven Lebanese were killed and sixty others were wounded on the fourteenth of this month as a result of an ambush carried out by gunmen from the Lebanese Forces militia against peaceful demonstrators who came out to express their position rejecting the politicization of the investigation into the Beirut port explosion.
