Nasrallah: Some parties try to drag Lebanon into a civil war

Beirut, (ST) – Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned that some Lebanese parties are trying to drag Lebanon into a civil war to serve US and Israeli agendas. He stressed the need to be patient in order to thwart their attempts.

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed in a televised speech, broadcast by Al-Manar TV, that the army institution is the only guarantee to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty and unity. He referred to the plan of some of the American and Israeli supporters to create a clash between the resistance and the Lebanese army.

Sayyed Nasrallah also affirmed the readiness of the resistance to defend Lebanon and its sovereignty, saying that, the military structure of Hezbollah includes 100,000 trained, organized and experienced fighters to protect the dignity and sovereignty of Lebanon from all aggression and terrorism.

In the case of the Beirut port explosion, Sayyed Nasrallah said that, “we are very keen to know the truth because we are concerned. There are martyrs and wounded, and there are neighborhoods that have been destroyed, therefore, we will not withdraw for a moment from the file as a real political responsibility.”
