President Bashar al-Assad participates in the religious celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday

On October 18th, President Bashar al-Assad participated in the religious celebration held by the Ministry of Endowments to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad in the Imam Shafi’i Mosque in Mazzeh.

The Minister of Endowments, Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyid, gave a speech in which he referred to the lofty meanings of the birth anniversary of the Prophet and what was included in the biography of the Prophet, a role model and an example for all mankind.

The Minister of Endowments affirmed that through the biography of the Prophet and his actions, we can confront the West and Zionism “Israel”.

 

The Minister of Endowments said that since the events of September 11 and since the days of Khaybar, they have been plotting against the Islamic religion.

The Minister of Endowments said: “ We in Syria, in the Levant, understand Islam as God Almighty revealed it pure, while they want it to wear a Bedouin headband and a Turkish sword, but we want it with a Levantine understanding.”

The Minister of Endowments paid tribute to the souls of our heroic martyrs, to every officer and soldier in our valiant Syrian Arab Army, and to the leader of the homeland, President Bashar al-Assad.

The celebration concluded with a supplication for His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad TawfiqRamadan Al-Bouti, President of the Union of Scholars of the Levant, to unite the word of Muslims on the word of truth, and to preserve Syria, its people and its leader, President Bashar al-Assad.

A number of senior state and party officials, Islamic scholars and a crowd of citizens participated in the celebration.
