7 Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strike amid dangerous health conditions

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Seven Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails continue their hunger strike to protest the occupations continued crimes against the prisoners.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Committee said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the prisoners are Kayed Phasphous, who has been on strike for 93 days, Miqdad Al-Qawasma for 86 days, Alaa Al-Araj for 69 days, Hisham Abu Hawash for 60 days, Shadi Abu Aker for 52 days, Ayyad Al Harimi for 23 days, and Khalil Abu Aram for the sixth day.

The Committee pointed out that the prisoners suffer from very difficult health conditions, especially the two captives, Phasphous and Qawasma, where the danger for them increases day after day, and there is a fear that they will suffer a sudden health setback and damage their brain or nervous system as a result of a lack of fluid in the body.

The Committee called on international human rights and human rights institutions to intervene immediately and urgently to liberate the prisoners from the occupation’s prisons.

About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
