Popular and official figures honor the martyrs’ families marking the anniversary of October liberation war
Damascus countryside, (ST) – Marking the anniversary of the October Liberation War, official and poular figures participated in honoring a number of families of the martyrs and the wounded in appreciation of their sacrifices for the homeland and its sovereignty and independence, as part of a public celebration in the town of Rakhleh in the Qatana area in Damascus countryside.
On this occasion, several memorials was inaugurated to commemorate the martyrs in several cities and towns in Damascus countryside,including Jaramana, Sayyida Zainab, Douma, Babila,Ghazlaniya, Haijana, Nashabiya, Saydnaya, and Dahiyat Qudsaya, all the way to Rakhla, where a mass ceremony was held.
The Governor of Damascus Countryside, Engineer Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, said in a statement that, the October Liberation War is a beacon that lights the way towards more victories, the most recent of which is the victories of the Syrian Arab Army in its war on terrorism.
In the same context, the Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel Al-Olabi, visited the Dahdah cemetery and laid a wreath on the tomb of the martyrs.
Al-Olabi confirmed in a press statement after the visit that the October Liberation War established the time of victories in the region and demonstrated the steadfastness and courage of the Syrian soldiers.
