On Sunday, the Child Health and Vaccine Program held a meeting of communication officials from all regions and health centers to discuss media preparations in the context of preparations for the national campaign for the oral paralysis vaccine scheduled from 10 to 14 of this month.
The lecturers stressed the importance and role of the communication officials in delivering the campaign messages to all citizens, and informing all the people in the governorate of the launch date of the campaign, so that the parents visit the health center with their children from one day to five years old to take a dose of the oral paralysis vaccine, regardless of the previous doses.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ibtisam Ahmed, Child Health and Vaccination Program Officer, Josephine Ibrahim, Governorate Communication Officer, and Waseem Al-Jourani, Governorate Vaccine Officer, Dr. Intisar Ali Redifa, Program Officer.
It is noteworthy that the oral polio vaccine is safe and approved by the World Health Organization, which protects the child and the community from the dangerous polio disease that leads to permanent disability or death.
