Iranian Foreign Minister: There is no place for Zionist entity in future of the region

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian affirmed that Iran will not tolerate the presence of a fake Zionist entity near its borders, pointing out that this entity has no place in the future of the region.

In an interview with Channel One of Iranian TV, Abdullahian noted the current Iranian government focuses on enhancing cooperation with neighboring countries, describing the existing relations between Iran and Azerbaijan as in their peak.

The Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that his country supported the liberation of Karabakh and that the officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan are aware of this matter. During the process of liberating Karabakh, some terrorist groups came to this region, and the Zionist entity also sought to exploit this tension.

Regarding the resumption of the Vienna negotiations on the nuclear agreement with Iran, Abdullahian said that the nuclear negotiations related to reviving the nuclear agreement will be resumed soon and at the appropriate time.

Abdullahian asserted that Iran informed the European Troika in New York that it will not participate in the meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the G4+1, because we are currently studying the previous rounds of negotiations, and we said that we will return to the negotiations soon and at the appropriate time.

We rejected this meeting because it was limited to taking memorial photos and did not serve the interests of our people, Abdullahian confirmed, the new government will not return to the point we were in a year ago, and we will not be satisfied with just a meeting. The parties must come with a real intention to reach a result.

He pointed out that Iran informed some mediators that if the administration of US President Joe Biden was serious about its intention to return to the agreement, it could release $10 billion from Tehran’s frozen assets.
