Lukashenko: US agencies are involved in planning terrorist acts

Minsk (ST): Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko confirmed that there is a direct link between an extremist network that planned terrorist acts in his country and US security agencies.

Sputnik quoted Lukashenko as saying today: “When we started working on these miscreants (the detained activists from the opposition movement) we knew that they were just terrorists and now they confess and say where they want to commit terrorist acts.

He pointed out that the State Security Committee recently stated that it had found a direct link between these people and the US intelligence services, especially the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He added that the most worrying thing is that they have spearheaded the railways because they know that Belarus is a transit country.
