Pedersen announces the date of the meeting of the Committee of Discussing the Syrian Constitution in Geneva

UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, declared on Tuesday that  new round of the meetings of the Committee of Discussing the Syrian Constitution will be held in Geneva on the 18th of October , 2021.
 
“The mini –committee of discussing the constitution will convene in Geneva on October 18th as invitations for attending the 6th round of the meetings have been sent”, Pederson said at the session of the UN Security Council.
 
Syria’s permanent representative to the UN , Basam Sabbagh, affirmed during the session tgat was held today that Syria rejects foreign intervention in the work of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution or any attempt to impose timetables and premature conclusions for its work.
