New water well put into service within the Alouk water project in Hasakah

Hasakah, (ST) – The Public Establishment for Drinking Water has put into service a new well within the Alouk water project in the countryside of Ras Al-Ain in Hasakah. Thus, the number of wells that are in service is 19.

In a statement to SANA, the Director General of the Establishment, Mahmoud Okla affirmed that the maintenance workshops in the Establishment will continue to carry out maintenance work for the electrical and mechanical equipment within the project in order to put more wells into service.

He pointed out that the reality of pumping water is currently good, and the technical workshops in the Establishment constantly test the network in the city center to solve any problem  to do with poor pumping and the lack of water reaching some homes during the pumping period.

The number of working wells in the Alouk project is 34, providing water for about one million citizens in the city of Hasakah and the western countryside.
