Russian official holds talks with Syrian parliamentarian delegation

MOSCOW, (ST)_The Russian President’s special representative and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has held talks with the Syrian Parliamentarian delegation headed by the Chairman of the Syrian-Russian Friendship Group Basem Sudan. 
 
The talks between the two sides dealt with bilateral relations between Syria and Russia, according to a statement released yesterday by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
 
The statement pointed out that the Russian side reiterated support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity. 
 
It added that discussions during the meeting focused on a number of important issues related to enhancing  the friendly relations between Syria and Russia in all fields.
 
The Syrian parliamentarian delegation participated in the process of observing the elections of deputies of the State Duma to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in Moscow and a number of Russian towns.
