Russian media devotes a large part of its pages to the summit meeting between President Al-Assad and President Putin
Moscow, (ST) – Russian media, including news agencies, newspapers, television channels, and radio stations, devoted a large part of their pages and broadcasts to talking about the Syrian-Russian summit that brought together President Bashar Al-Assad and President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
The Federal News Agency, RIA Fan, said that, the summit between President Al-Assad and President Putin was important in terms of the issues that were discussed, especially international and economic issues and what is related to cooperation between the two sides.
Political researcher and historian Vladimir Mogigov indicated that, the meeting of PresidentAl- Assad and President Putin also dealt with geopolitical issues, especially Turkish ambitions.He said that, the arrogance of the Turkish regime’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, knows no bounds with his dreams of restoring the Ottoman Empire, and he considers the lands of certain countries as Turkish lands and practices a policy in line with that.”
In turn, the director of the Center for Middle East and Central Asian Studies, Semyon Bagdasarov, told “FAN” Agency that, the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people were on the agenda of the summit.
“Yandex Row” website clarified that, there are parties working to obstruct the process of a political solution to the crisis in Syria by trying to thwart the outcomes of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue meetings in Sochi, Astana and Geneva.
The Russian TV channel, Ren TV, described the summit meeting between President Al-Assad and President Putin as “politically important,” saying that the situation in Syria was discussed and what should be done in the future.
The channel pointed out that, the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people are inhuman, immoral and illegal, in addition to the illegal presence of US forces on the Syrian territories
