Syria, Russia review means of developing cultural cooperation

DAMASCUS, (ST)_The ways of developing relations between Syrian and Russian cultural institutes were discussed on Tuesday by the Minister of Culture Lobanah M’shaweh and a Russian delegation representing Novosibirsk city.
 
According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the talks between the two sides focused on the possibility of exchanging bands to show the Syrian and Russian civilizations and culture in the two countries. 
 
The agency quoted M’Shaweh as saying that the visiting Russian delegation is accompanied with 85 choral singers and dancers, who came  to show their heritage  to the Syrian audience.
 
“Syrian bands will also go to Russia to exhibit Syrian folklore before Russian audiences,” she added. 
 
For his part, Russian Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yakimov asserted the need to develop Russian-Syrian relations in humanitarian and cultural fields by all possible means.
