Palestinian prisoners continue with their hunger strike in protest against the occupation’s crimes

Six Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails continue with their hunger strike in protest against the occupation’s crimes and aggressive practices towards the Palestinian captives.

In a statement on Monday, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said that the prisoners are Kayed Al-Fasfous who has been on hunger strike for 61 days, Mikdad Al-Qawasmeh for 54 days, Alaa Al-Araj, for 36 days, Raeq Bsharat for 23 days, Hisham Abu Hawash for 28 days and Shadi Abu Aker for 20 days.

According to the Prisoners Club, the health condition of the prisoners, mainly Al-Qawasmeh, Al-Fasfous and Al-Araj, is very critical due to exhaustion, noticeable weight loss and lack of salt and fluids in their bodies. These prisoners need significant medical care while the occupation authorities continue to hold them in solitary confinement in an attempt to force them to end their hunger strike, the Prisoners Club said.

Some 5000 Palestinian prisoners are facing harsh detention conditions in the Israeli jails, including 550 ill prisoners who need urgent medical treatment.
