Bronze medal for Syria in the Arab competition for future programmers in Jordan

Amman (ST): Students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won a bronze medal in the Future Programmers competition for secondary school students in Arab countries, which was held on the ninth of September by the Applied Science Private University in Jordan, with the participation of teams from Jordan, Egypt and Syria.

 The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement that the third-place Syrian team included students “Amin Sherba, Hussein Busbeit and Mohammad Amr Nassif,” noting that there was stiff competition with teams that had previous participation in the World Informatics Olympiad.

The Authority pointed out that three teams represented Syria in this competition and managed to achieve 3, 6 and 7 positions out of the 48 teams that participated in the competitions, which were tested over a period of 3 continuous hours.

This competition is characterized by teamwork, where the team consists of 3 members who participate together in solving a set of programming and algorithmic problems of increasing difficulty and reach the difficulty of the World Olympiad problems using one computer.
