The UN assigns Germany to investigate into the crimes of ISIS terrorists in Iraq

New York (ST): The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has appointed German Christian Richter as Special Adviser and the new head of the investigation team into crimes committed by the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Iraq.

France Press Agency reported that Richter succeeds British Karim Asad Ahmed Khan, who in June became the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

The UN investigation team into crimes committed by the terrorist organization aims to support the Iraqi government in directing charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide against the terrorists of the organization by collecting, protecting and storing evidence.

Christian Richter holds the position of Federal Prosecutor at the German Federal Court of Justice so far, and the United Nations has said that he has more than 30 years of professional experience in international and national criminal investigations and investigations.
