Ankara (ST) – The authorities of the Turkish regime arrested 18 people under the pretext of their association with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom this regime accuses of being behind 2016 coup attempt in Turkey.
Anadolu Agency, the Turkish regime’s mouthpiece , quoted security sources as saying that, arrest warrants were issued against 214 people, and 137 people were arrested during a campaign of raids that included 41 areas, including servicemen and others who were dismissed.
The security of the Turkish regime launched a large-scale operation in eight districts in Istanbul to arrest 15 people, including a teacher, a lawyer and a researcher, on charges of using the ByLock application.
It is noteworthy that the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has launched severe repression campaigns since the coup attempt in order to pursue its opponents inside the country, where it arrested and dismissed tens of thousands of people, both civilians and military.
