The Spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced on Tuesday that a group of ISIS terrorists was eliminated in the Iraqi province of Kirkuk.
In a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Rasool said that “the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service managed to kill an entire group of ISIS terrorists that were trying to attack patrols of the Iraqi security forces in Kirkuk province.”
“The fighters of CTS ambushed the terrorist group after monitoring their movement by the snipers, near Altun Kupri area, and they managed to kill a number of them directly, while the rest of the terrorists fled the confrontation, but later they were chased and killed after destroying their dens from where they launch terror attacks.”
Rasool affirmed that Counter-Terrorism Service operations will continue until Iraq is free of terrorists and extremists.
