Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of criminal security between Syria and Belarus
On September 6th, the Minister of Interior, Major General Muhammad al-Rahmoun, met with General Sergey Evmenenko, Head of the State Authority for Examinations of Forensic Expertise in the Republic of Belarus.
The two sides discussed cooperation in the field of criminal security work, forensic evidence, judicial laboratory analysis and the exchange of experiences in this sector.
Minister Al-Rahmoun pointed to the need to increase cooperation in the field of training and qualifying cadres, raising their capabilities, exchanging information and developing DNA laboratories and laboratories for detecting explosives, drugs and forged documents.
For his part, General Sergey affirmed the readiness of the state body for examinations of forensic expertise in the Republic of Belarus to cooperate in the rehabilitation and training of human cadres in the field of forensic evidence and analyzes of explosives and narcotics detection and analysis of metals and their components.
At the end of the talks, the Syrian Criminal Security Department of the Ministry of Interior and the State Authority for Judicial Laboratory Analysis in the Republic of Belarus signed a memorandum of understanding that includes cooperation between the two sides with the aim of developing the level of work of scientific cadres working in forensic laboratories, developing scientific equipment and exchanging experiences, which enhances the role of criminal security in combating crime of all kinds.
