Scores of gunmen hand over their weapons to the Syrian army in Daraa

DARAA, (ST)_The settlement process of the legal status of scores of gunmen in Daraa Al-Balad city has been resumed in accordance with the peaceful agreement that has been proposed by the Syrian state to restore stability and security to all areas in Daraa province. 

According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), scores of gun men have started to come to the settlement center in Al-Arbaeen district to settle their status and to hand over their weapons to the Syrian army units. 

“Single guns, machine guns, RPG [Rocket-Propelled Grenade] of different types were among the weapons that were handed over by the gunmen,” SANA clarified, pointing out that other settlement centers will be opened in Daraa city to complete the process of settlement and to pave the way for the deployment of the Syrian army into the city. 

It is worth mentioning that terrorist groups have impeded the peaceful settlement agreement several times.
