Number of crimes increases significantly with loss of security in areas under control of SDF militia

Security chaos within the areas under the control of the US-backed “SDF” militia has been increasing as the past few days recorded the occurrence of murders, armed robberies and theft amid a state of tension and fear among the locals of the areas where the militia is deployed in the Syrian Jazeera.

Among the most prominent incidents and crimes that occurred during the past three days, according to civil sources, was the discovery of the body of a woman at the Baku village junction on the Hasaka-Qamishli road.

Another murder incident was the stabbing of a girl with special needs by a group of people with the intent of stealing in the Mushairfa neighborhood. The doctors continued their attempts to save her but she died.

The third crime, according to the sources, was committed by unknown persons against a sixty-years old taxi driver. His family confirmed that they had lost contact with him for three days, then his body was found on the southern Hasaka road after the theft of his cell phone.

In the same context, local sources from the city of Qamishli confirmed that the body of a 4-year-old child was found in a garbage bag in one of the main streets of the city of Qamishli, without knowing the details of the incident. This incident  was preceded by a number of incidents of robbery, theft and murder in the city’s countryside.

Theft incidents also spread widely in the neighborhoods of Al-Hasakah city. A civilian from Ghweran neighborhood was beaten on Saturday by unknown persons on a motorcycle after his mobile was stolen. He was taken to a private hospital to receive treatment for the bruises caused by the thieves.

A source from the neighborhood indicated that these incidents were remarkably repeated without any deterrence from the militia thus encouraging a repeat of  such actions in order to spread terror and fear among the residents.

Incidents of murder, theft and robbery have become a concern for the people, especially the people of the southern region of Al-Hasakah governorate. So no one can leave his home at night for fear of robbery and theft that he may be exposed to. The militia is deliberately fabricating and fueling conflicts between the people of the region, as is happening now in the southern countryside of Hasakah.
