The 14th General Conference of the World Federation of the Arab Trade Unions has condemned all forms of terrorism, highly appreciating all forces that fight it especially people, workers, army and the leadership of Syria.
It called, in its final statement, on all world forces to condemn terrorism and fight economic terrorism which is being practiced through economic sanctions, which certain countries impose on other countries to serve political agendas.
The conference, which was held in Cairo, also denounced racist practices of the Israeli occupation authorities against Arab workers in the occupied Palestine and Golan and other occupied Arab lands.
It underscored the importance of constructive cooperation between parties of Arab production process to resolve the problems of workers in Arab countries.
During the conference, Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Syria Jamal Al-Qaderi was elected as the Secretary General of the WFTU for the upcoming 5 years.
