MOSCOW, (ST)_Within the framework of the International Military Games (Armia 2021), the Syrian army’s team has set up a pavilion in the Friendship House on Syria’s history and civilization and on the achievements of the Syrian people and army in all fields including fighting terrorism.
According to the Syrian News Agency ( SANA), the pavilion, which was opened on the 23th of August, includes Syrian artifacts reflecting popular heritage, and it will last until the 4th of September.
Chairman of the Syrian pavilion General Raef Al-Ahmad made it clear that Syria participates every year in the competitions of the “Cultural Army”, pointing out that the current pavilion shows pictures and sculptures depicting the suffering of the Syrian people from terrorism and their steadfastness in defeating terrorism besides the deep-rooted friendly relations between Syria and Russia.
For his part, Syrian director and author Fayez M’tgallej said that popular dances were performed during the ongoing activities to show the Syrian social and cultural life during the years of crisis and after it.
Syrian students Fatmeh Qudsi and Ola Ismael and Reema Al-Najjar, who are studying in Russia, said that they came to the pavilion to encourage the Syrian army in the competitions and to express their appreciation for the army’s achievements in fighting terrorism.
