China strongly protests US report on the origin of the Corona virus

Beijing (ST): China has strongly protested against the recent report of the US intelligence services on the origin of the Corona virus, calling on Washington to stop politicizing the issue of the origin of the virus.

The ministry said in a statement today that “Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed to his US counterpart Anthony Blinken China’s strong protest against the recent publication of the so-called investigation report on the Corona virus prepared by the US intelligence services,” stressing that “the politicization of this problem is a legacy of the previous US administration.”

The ministry added, the sooner the United States abandons it, the sooner it will get out of the impasse.

The US intelligence had previously issued a report on the origin of the Corona virus, in which it concluded that the corona virus was not created as a biological weapon, at the same time, the participants in the investigation were unable to reach consensus on two theories about the origin of the virus, while US President Joe Biden accused China of concealing important information about the origin of corona.
