Shoigu warns of the dangers of weapons left by the US army

Moscow, (ST) – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu warned that the US military left behind large quantities of high-precision weapons in Afghanistan, that have fallen into the hands of Taliban.

Shoigu told Solovyov “Live channel”, as reported by RT, that the Americans “left a large number of portable high-precision weapons, such as air defense and anti-tank systems.”  He pointed out that among these weapons are portable anti-aircraft missile systems, guided anti-tank missiles, and portable anti-tank missiles.

 Shoigu said that, the Russian Defense Ministry is currently analyzing and evaluating the risks and threats in Afghanistan.

The Russian Defense Minister had affirmed last Tuesday that the presence of large quantities of weapons in the hands of Taliban militants as a result of the recent developments in Afghanistan “constitutes the most important threat.”
