Citizens in Abu Hamam village in Deir Ezzor hold demonstration demanding the release of their sons kidnapped by SDF militia

Locals in the village of Abu Hamam in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on Saturday organized a demonstration demanding the release of their sons who were kidnapped by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia.

Local sources told SANA reporter that residents of Abu Hamam village closed the roads leading to the area with burned tires to express their condemnation of the SDF’s crimes and provocative acts against them. They called for knowing the destiny of their kidnapped sons and demanded their immediate release, the sources said.

The SDF militia-held areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and Hasakah have been witnessing demonstrations over the past months in condemnation of the aggressive and oppressive practices of the SDf militants towards the locals in these areas, particularly kidnapping youths and recruiting them within the SDF’s ranks, not to mention the daily provocative behavior of the SDF militants at checkpoints.
