China accords great attention to developing relations with Syria, says Li Keqiang

Damascus, (ST) – The Chinese premier of the State Council, Li Keqiang stressed that, the Chinese government accords great attention to developing relations with Syria. China is also keen to provide whatever assistance it can to Syria in combating the corona virus, improving the livelihood of the Syrian people and accelerating the reconstruction process.

In a message to Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, the Chinese premier said that, China and Syria have traditional friendly relations and have long exchanged support on issues related to the interests and major concerns of the two countries.

Li Keqiang expressed the Chinese government’s readiness to make joint efforts with the Syrian government to consolidate the friendship between the two countries and push forward the cooperative relations.

He also wished Syria and its people security and prosperity.
