Shamkhani: The presence of foreign forces in the Gulf destabilizes security and stability of the region
On August 22nd, the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, said that the presence of foreign forces in the Gulf region destabilizes stability and security in the region.
He added that maintaining security in international waterways is one of Iran’s main strategies.
During his meeting in Tehran with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, Shamkhani considered America’s violation of its obligations and its irresponsible exit from the nuclear agreement and the continuation of Washington’s current policy as the main reason behind the current circumstances, and said, “The way out of this closed path created by America is to guarantee the rights of the people legitimate Iranian.
For his part, Motegi referred to the importance of the nuclear agreement as an international agreement, and said: “In order to revive the agreement, America should abandon its additional demands.”
Motegi referred to the need to increase cooperation between the two countries in combating the Corona virus and exchanging experiences between them in this regard.
