MINSK, (ST)_73 Syrian outstanding students, who excelled in the basic education certificate exams, plus 7 supervisors arrived last night in Minsk to take part in the “Zopronk Camp of Healthy Recreation”, which will last for two weeks.
Upon their arrival in Minsk, the Director of the Belarusian Center for Child Welfare “Zopronk camp” welcomed the delegation of the Syrian students and the supervisors, expressing her happiness that children from friendly Syria are able to participate in the camp for this year as this was not possible last year due to the Corona pandemic.
The director of the center wished them a pleasant stay and to get benefit from the summer camp, and to have an idea about the history and culture of Belarus through the activities and cultural tours included in the camp’s program.
For his part, the Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Omrani, also welcomed the Syrian students, saying that Syria highly appreciates the Belarusian leadership’ humanitarian initiative, which has been launched 5 years ago, and which included hundreds of Syrian students from various groups.
He referred to the deep-rooted friendly relations and the desire to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
