Iraqi forces arrest three terrorists who tried to transport weapons in Nineveh

Baghdad (ST): Iraqi forces arrested three terrorists in Nineveh, in the north of the country. The Iraqi News Agency, “INA”, quoted the Security Media Cell as saying in a statement that “the elements of the Intelligence Agency in the Ministry of Interior were able, through a qualitative intelligence operation, to arrest three terrorists who intend to transfer weapons from Qayyarah to the village of Kanous, which is affiliated to Shirqat, Nineveh,” explaining that an ambush was set up. They were arrested in the Haj Ali area of Qayyarah, and they were in possession of a number of weapons.

 

Yesterday, the Iraqi forces announced the arrest of eight ISIS terrorists in two security operations in Nineveh.

In the same context, the Federal Police Command announced the implementation of a preemptive operation, during which it found mortar bombs and rocket launchers in Hawija district, Kirkuk governorate.
