Israeli occupation’s continuous killings, settlement construction push situation towards explosion, says Abu Rudeineh

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST) – Palestinian Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh on Monday  warned that Israel’s continuous killings and settlement construction will push the situation towards an overall explosion.

Abu Rudeineh said that, Israeli occupation authority should learn that the situation is no longer tolerable and that its continued extrajudicial killings of Palestinians and colonial settlement construction will lead to a conflagration with unforeseeable consequences for the whole region.

Commenting on the withdrawal of the United States forces from Afghanistan and the Taliban’s control over the country, he added that the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories will come to an end, particularly that history has shown time and again that the will of the people always triumph over foreign occupation and colonialism.

He added that the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan demonstrates that foreign protection for any state cannot bring peace and security to it while reiterating that recognizing the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights, ending the occupation and establishing the Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the UN resolutions are the only way to guarantee achieving security, peace and stability in the Middle East.

Israeli occupation authorities order Palestinians to halt construction of houses in Masafer Yatta

On the other hand in Hebron, the Israeli occupation authorities issued a halt on construction against two houses and an animal barn in Masafer Yatta, to the south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, on Monday said Fouad al-Amour, according to Wafa News Agency.

He told the agency that the two houses, owned by residents of Al-Nahla hamlet, were built of cement and had a tin roof.

At the same time, the Israeli occupation forces photographed several houses and structures in other hamlets in Masafer Yatta, which is usually a prelude to demolishing them.

Israel is launching a demolition campaign against Palestinian-owned structures in Masafer Yatta under the pretext that they are located in military areas, or so-called state lands, or area classified as Area C in order to force Palestinians to leave these areas in favor of settlements.
