Four people drowned in the Khafsa water canal, east of Aleppo

Aleppo (ST): Four people drowned and 18 others were rescued, including a child, after a small freight car collapsed in the Euphrates River water canal in the village of Rasm al-Dawali, in the Khafsa region, east of Aleppo, at dawn today.

A source in the Aleppo Police Command said in a statement to news reporter that the drowned were two women and two girls, between the ages of eight and twelve.

He indicated that investigations had begun to find out the cause of the accident.
