Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari has underscored the key role of the civil voluntary initiatives in alleviating the effects of economic crisis from which the Syrian citizen suffers because of the coercive measures being imposed on Syria by the western countries.
During his meeting with a Syrian-Russian Peace Initiative delegation, Al-Jaafari talked about the importance of the assistance being provided by the Russian friends to the Syrian people as well as the importance of the initiative in all fields.
He asserted the need to achieve integration among the national initiatives and the assistance being provided by Syria’s friendly countries in order to gain the highest benefit for the Syrian people and their steadfastness in the face of pressure and siege.
For their part, members of the delegation made a presentation on the activities of the initiative, whose work was launched in 2018, with the aim of easing the economic suffering of the Syrian people and providing services to the needy, including humanitarian and medical assistance then expanding their work to include the social development projects, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
