Earlier today, the foreign-backed armed terrorist groups killed the Pastor of Mar Elias Church in Qatana Town, Damascus Countryside.

According to the Roman Orthodox Patriarchate, Pastor Fadi Hadad was kidnapped last week by terrorists, while was mediating for the release of a kidnapped person by a terrorist group.

The Patriarchate condemned in the strongest terms the brutal and barbaric killing of the Pastor as well as of the heinous attacks and arbitrary killings by the terrorist groups of the Syrians citizens including the innocent civilians and men-of-religion.

The Patriarchate called for an all-out deplore of the ongoing kidnapping, killing, destruction, and looting by the armed terrorist groups as well as for dialogue, reconciliation and peace.

The Qatari and Saudi armed terrorist groups in Syria have unleashed a bloody battle against the Syrians, targeting mainly men of religion, intellectuals, scientists and white collar personnel.

Yesterday, the number of the civilians killed by the foreign-backed armed terrorist groups reached to 25, near Hawwa Mosque in Ali Bin Abi Taleb Street, where terrorists of  the so called “banner of Islam” , led by the terrorist Zahran Alloush, are deployed in Doma, in Damascus countryside.

Ministry of Information asserted that the terrorists’ perpetration of massacres and crimes against the Syrians coincide usually with the convening of a UN Security council session to debate the situation in Syria.

”The concomitance of the terrorists’ perpetrated massacres is a continued crime in implementation for political agendas,” the Ministry added in a statement broadcast by Syrian TV.

The Ministry underscored, in a statement, that there were some countries well-known for their support to terrorism, which would classify them along with the terrorists against the international resolutions related to combating terrorism.

Foreign and Expatriates Ministry, in a letter to UN Security Council President and UN Secretary General, blasted the crimes perpetrated by the armed terrorist groups and the grave violations of international law and human rights law by these terrorist groups and their backers in the shedding of the Syrian blood, in a frequent and repeated timing preceding the UN Security council sessions on the situation in Syria.

The Ministry pointed out that Syria has lost with today’s terrorist attack  in Doma 25 of its citizens, in a place where , unfortunately, there were no security or Army personnel to defend the victims, recalling the past massacres perpetrated in different regions of Syria, including al-Houla and Tremsa massacres.

Syria, according to the wording of the letter, calls on the UN General Secretariat and Security Council, as well as on Human Rights Council, to play their role in exposing such acts by the terrorist groups, to hold the terrorists accountable and to condemn the crimes perpetrated by the terrorists.

The Ministry called for the non-repetition of heinous stances by some members of the UN Security Council, like the stance of Germany, for example, which prevented the UN Security Council from taking a stand condemning the perpetrators of the terrorist attack at Bab Toma in Damascus two days ago, which resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Syrian civilians.

”The UN Security Council and UN bodies should play their role in combating terrorism, regardless of its perpetrators, financiers and backers, and regardless of its place or time, in commitment to related Security Council resolutions.” the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry concluded.
