A fire broke out in Kafr Laha Mountain in Hama countryside, and firefighting teams are working to put it out
Hama (ST): A fire broke out tonight in the Kafr Laha mountain area, Ain Al-Hazir, west of the city of Masyaf in the Hama countryside, while the firefighting teams are working to put it out.
The director of agriculture in Hama, Abdel Moneim Sabbagh, said to a news reporter that the firefighting teams that arrived at the site of the fire in the Ayn al-Hazir forests, west of the city of Masyaf, were able to put out parts of the fire.
Sabbagh added that the firefighting teams continue to work to control the fire and prevent its spread to neighboring areas.
The forests in these areas witness annually the outbreak of many fires, which causes the loss of large areas of forest wealth and agricultural fields due to the ruggedness of the area and the difficulty of firefighting vehicles reaching it to deal with these fires in a timely manner.
