Turkish regime’s terrorist mercenaries continue to deprive one million people in Hasakah from drinking water

HASAKAH, (ST)_Turkish regime’s terrorist mercenaries have continued practicing their crime through controlling water pumping operations from Alouk Water station to one million citizens in Hasakah city and its countryside .

Despite the declaration of running the station five days ago, the suffering of the people of Hasakah and its countryside continues due to the instability of pumping operations from the station, which is under the control of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in Ras Al-Ayn city, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).

The agency quoted  Director General of the Hasakah Water institution Mahmoud Oukla as saying: “the pumping of water is unstable, and the water reaches al-Hamma station intermittently as a result of the Turkish occupation’s control of the pumping from the station and not allowing the workers to work inside the station for more than two hours.

Hasakah province’s residents call for finding a solution to the Alouk station, indicating that all international parties and humanitarian and relief organizations must fulfil their duty to end the suffering of one million citizens who depend on the station as a main source of drinking water.

The General Institution for Drinking Water, in cooperation with civil organizations and civil societies, continue to provide drinking water to the people through ensuring tankers from Nafasha and Tel Brak stations in Hasakah countryside.
