16 Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strike to protest against the Israeli occupation’s crimes

Sixteen Palestinian prisoners are continuing their hunger strike in protest against the continuous crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners.

The spokesman for the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority, Hassan Abed Rabbo, told Wafa News Agency  that the prisoners are Salem Zaidat, who continues his strike for the twenty-first day, Muhammad Omar and Mujahid Hamed for the nineteenth day, Mahmoud Al-Fasfous, Kayed Al-Fosfus, Raafat Al-Darweesh and Guevara Al-Namoura for the eighteenth day, Maher Dalaysha for the thirteenth day, and Alaa Al-Din Ali Fadi Al-Amour, Hussam Rabei, Muhammad Khaled Abu Salil, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Sal and Ahmed Nazzal for the twelfth day, Miqdad Al-Qawasmeh for the eleventh day, and Muhammad Nawara for the eighth day.

Abed Rabbo explained that the prisoners suffer from joint pain, fatigue, severe exhaustion and weight loss, and that their health has begun to deteriorate.

Abed Rabbo called on the international community to pressure the occupation authorities to release them.

About 5,300 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including 550 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
