Tokyo (ST): The Syrian national athletics team player, Majd Al-Din Ghazal, left the high jump competition at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which was held at dawn today, for not exceeding a height of 225 cm in the qualifying stage.
Ghazal was unable to exceed a height of 225 cm in all his attempts, as he jumped in the first and second attempts to a height of 217 cm and 221 cm in the qualifying rounds.
Ghazal is participating in the Olympic Games for the fourth time after the 2008 Beijing Olympics, in which he jumped to a height of 220 cm and was eliminated from the qualifiers, which was repeated in the London 2012 Olympics when he jumped to a height of 216 cm and in the Rio Olympics, he scored 233 cm, knowing that he recorded 236 cm in the Beijing International Meeting in 2016.
