Iranian delegation held talks with Syrian officials over issues of common interest

DAMASCUS, (ST)_The ways of enhancing parliamentary relations between Syria and Iran were discussed on Thursday by the committees  “Expatriates and Arab and Foreign Affairs” and the Syrian-Iranian Friendship Committee in the Syrian People’s Assembly [Parliament] and Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Shoura Council Vahid Jalalzadeh and the accompanying delegation. 
 
The members of the committees asserted the need to enhance cooperation and coordination between Syria and Iran at all levels and activate meetings and getting benefit from the Iranian experience in confronting economic siege and achieving self-sufficiency. 
 
They referred to Iran’s political and economic support for Syria to confront the coercive economic measures being imposed on the people of Syria. 
 
The members reiterated that the pressures being practiced against the Syrian and Iranian people come  within the US-Zionist plot that targets the axis of resistance. 
 
For his part, Jalalzadeh said that the Iranian delegation held talks with Syrian officials on issues of common interest.
