Slovakian academic: Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit Syria is a message to the world that his country stands firmly by its side

On July 27th, Slovakian university professor Peter Jorza stressed that the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Damascus on the day President Bashar Al-Assad took the constitutional oath was not a coincidence.

Jorza said that this visit is a message to the world that China stands firmly with the Syrian state and that it is time for the West to change its position on it.

In an article published on the Slovakian website Novi Slovo, Jorza indicated that the Chinese minister stressed, during his visit, Beijing’s readiness to unite its efforts with Damascus in strengthening real anti-terror alliances at the global level.

The Syrian-Chinese relations are getting stronger at all levels, reinforced by China’s supportive stance against Syria during the crisis and its support for it against terrorism and its rejection of foreign interference in the internal affairs of countries.
