The activities of the 3rd Conference on Cement Industry Technology kicked off

On July 26th, the activities of the Third Conference on Cement Industry Technology 2021 kicked off at Cham Hotel in Damascus. 
 
The 3-day Conference  will discuss working papers and presentations on modern technologies in the field of cement industry and reducing their impact on the environment. 
 
The Conference, which is organized in cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and SimTech Group, will bring together experts and representatives of companies from several countries, including China, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Switzerland. 
 
In a statement to reporters, Minister of Industry in the caretaker government Ziad Sabbagh explained the importance of the conference because the cement industry is one of the strategic industries in the rebuilding and construction phase. 
 
He added that Syria owns the raw materials needed for this industry, pointing to the need to discuss ways to develop the cement industry in Syria and mitigate its environmental impacts. 
 
The Director of Sim Tech Company, Eng. Gabriel Al-Ashhab, indicated that the conference aims to contribute to the development of the cement industry and the search for solutions to the problems and challenges it faces locally.
 
 Wei Qinagh from Sinoma Overseas Company explained that his company is specialized in building cement factories and has established more than 250 factories around the world, and currently a factory is being established in Syria in the Abu al-Shamat area. 
 
He said: “Our goal is to transfer Chinese technology and expertise to Syria and they are interested in the Syrian market because it  will be one of the best markets in the Middle East.” 
 
For his part, the CEO of the Swiss company Spectra Flow N Latex Christian Butukan stated that their participation aims to provide a modern technology that contributes to the development and modernization of the cement industry. 
 
From Egypt, Director of Business Development at ASEC Engineering Consultants Mahmoud El Sebaei explained that the conference is an opportunity to market the company’s services in Syria.
