Syrian Arab army takes control of farms outside Homs, confronts terrorists’ attack on Aleppo prison

PROVINCES,(ST)_Units of the armed forces press ahead with dealing knockout blows to foreign-backed terrorists in the ongoing fighting on all fronts. 

On Monday, a military source declared that the armed forces took control of the southern and eastern al-Ein farms in al-Qaryatin city after crushing all terrorist groupings there.

It added that tunnels and various types of weapons were found in the farms, noting that tens of booby-traps planted on main road were defused.

The source, in addition, confirmed shelling many hideouts of terrorists in the quarters of al-Khaledeyeh, al-Qarabis, and Bab Hod as well as Basatin al-Ghouta, Taldo, Kafr Laha, al-Ganto, al-Rastan, and al-Dar al-Kabira areas.

Weapons seizure in Homs’ Tal Kalakh

On the other hand, the competent authorities confiscated a 80-mm mortar, 22 shells, 6 rifles,  BKC machine gun, sniper, 6 thermal rocket, rocket launcher, detonators, hand-made mine and ammunitions in the mid quarter of Tal Kalkh city (in Homs).

Concurrently, the armed forces continued operations against the terrorists in  eastern Ghouta , southern and northern Damascus countryside.

Many terrorists were eliminated and heavy machine guns were wiped out in the operations, according to an official source.

Other operations were reportedly launched against the hideouts of terrorists from al-Nusra Front in  northern Aleppo province and its surrounding amid report of confronting terrorists’ attack on Aleppo central prison.

Dozens of al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists were killed in the confrontation.

Army advances on al-Sadd road in Daraa

In the southern Daraa province, the armed forces achieved progress in tracking terrorists on al-Sadd road and killed dozens of them. They also pounded hideouts of terrorists in Inkhel, Daraa al-Balad, Daraa camp, al-Hammaden quarter, Tsil, al-Nasereyeh, al-Shabraq, al-Mzereb and Ein Frikha areas.

More hideouts were obliterated outside Idlib province and in Tal Hamis area in Hassaka province.

Terrorists kill each other

The armed forces’ advance coincided with quarrels which broke out among terrorists groups in Der Ezzour province over the splitting of loots. The terrorists killed each other in the quarrels.

Al-Sabbora explosion kills 3 citizens

In another incident, at least 4 citizens were martyred and 21 others wounded in two terrorist attacks in Hama and al-Qameshli provinces.

Today at dawn, a car bomb exploded near the cultural center in al-Sabbora town outside Hama leaving 3 citizens martyred and 18 wounded.

“The explosion caused serious damage to the center and to private and public properties at the scene”, an official source said.

The second terrorist attack took place last night near Youths city in al-Qameshli province as an explosive device detonated there claiming a child and leaving 3 citizens wounded.

The explosive device was inside a garbage container in a crowded street in the area.
