Washington continues to loot the Syrian people’s wealth amid shameful international silence: Egyptian solidarity committee

The Egyptian People’s Committee for Solidarity with the Syrian People has criticized the silence of the international community over the continuity of the American and Turkish occupation of Syrian territories.

In a statement of which SANA correspondent in Cairo received a copy, the committee said that “maintaining the presence of American and Turkish occupation forces in Syrian territories amid international silence indicates the double standards that govern this unjust community.”

The committee added that Washington is not satisfied with the unjust siege it has imposed on the Syrian people; rather, it occupies Syrian lands and maintains its presence inside Syria in a blatant violation of international laws and conventions.

“Washington also continues to loot the Syrian people’s wealth amid shameful international silence,” the committee said, denouncing the international community’s claims about peoples’ right while keeping silent over an open and explicit crime of occupation.

The committee expressed confidence that Syria will continue with its victories and will liberate every inch of its occupied land, affirming that the unfair sanctions and siege will strengthen the determination of the Syrian people and army to continue their battle until they achieve complete victory over terrorism and its supporters.
