Cuban President: Washington spent billions of dollars to destroy our country and failed

Havana (ST): Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel asserted that the United States had failed in its attempts to destroy his country, despite spending billions of dollars to achieve this end.

Diaz-Canel said in a tweet  today that after five days of anti-government protests that resulted in the death of one person, the wounding of dozens of others and the arrest of hundreds, the United States failed in its attempts to destroy Cuba, even though it had spent billions of dollars on it.

Syria has condemned in the strongest terms the blatant US interference in Cuba’s internal affairs aimed at destabilizing it, and expressed its confidence that Havana, which faced the unjust US blockade, would be able to overcome the new attack it is facing and preserve its sovereignty.
