Cairo, (ST) – Major General Ahmed Idris, head of the Egyptian Socialist Labor Party and coordinator of the National Bloc (Love for Egypt), affirmed that the unilateral American and Western coercive measures imposed on Syria are a crime against humanity about which international silence cannot continue.
Idris said in an exclusive statement to SANA in Cairo that, these coercive measures taken by Washington and those with it undoubtedly aim to besiege the Syrian state and impede its victories and the process of rebuilding and reconstruction. He called on the countries of the world to break this unjust siege and cooperate economically with the Syrian state.
Idris indicated that Washington pushed its forces and the forces of other hostile countries to be inside Syrian territories in order to support mercenaries and terrorists who carry out its plans and to control the capabilities and wealth of the Syrian people, but the Syrians were aware of this plan and confronted it leadership and army, achieving great victories over those who targeted it. .
Idris called on the international community to resort to international conventions, not to be double standards, and to work on documenting American crimes, prosecuting their perpetrators, and helping Syria expel the American occupation forces from its lands.
