UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement that the Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the demolition of Palestinian properties in the village of Humsa al-Baqei’a in the Valley of Jordan in the West Bank, noting that these measures are contrary to international law and undermine the chances of establishing a Palestinian state.
Two days ago, the Israeli occupation forces demolished Palestinian properties in Khirbet Humsa for the seventh time since the end of last year, with the aim of displacing its inhabitants and seizing their lands to expand settlement operations in the area.
