Rocket attack targets Ain Al-Assad military base, which hosts US forces, in Iraq’s Anbar province

A rocket attack on Wednesday targeted the Ain Al-Assad military base in Anbar province west of Iraq. The base contains US troops, according to Iraqi media outlets.

Al-Sumaria News website quoted an Iraqi security source as saying that the US military base of Ain Al-Assad was targeted with 7 missiles that fell inside it and in its vicinity.

Other sources said that the attack caused several injuries.

Ain Al-Assad base has recently come under several rocket attacks, the latest of which occurred last Monday.
