The need to stop the violations of the Turkish and American occupation forces against the Syrian people, says Susan

Nur-Sultan, (ST) – The Syrian Arab Republic delegation, headed by Dr. Ayman Susan, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates held a meeting with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria Geir Pedersen within the framework of the 16th international meeting in Astana format which has opened its activities in the Kazakh capital Nur Sultan on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the developments of the situation in Syria were reviewed, where Dr. Susan stressed the need to raise the voice against the violations of the Turkish and American occupation forces towards the Syrian people. These violations are with regard to supporting terrorists and groups associated with them or stealing resources and natural wealth and the capabilities of the Syrian people. These violations are in addition to the unilateral coercive measures. They are the main reason for the suffering of the Syrian people and the difficult conditions they live in.

The political process was also reviewed with Susan affirming that the Syrian government would continue to have a positive attitude, while Pedersen indicated his intention to continue efforts to prepare for holding the sixth round of the Constitutional Discussion Committee’s meetings in Geneva.

The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic held a meeting with the Russian delegation headed by Russian President’s Special Envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev and they reviewed the items on the agenda of the current meeting, the developments in Syria and the wrong Western policies with the aim of continuing the war against it.
