On July 4th, a fire broke out in one of the camps of the displaced Syrians in the outskirts of the town of Benin in the Akkar district of northern Lebanon. The cause of this fire is not yet clear.
The Lebanese National News Agency stated that the firefighting teams worked to put out the fires that destroyed 3 tents.
A similar fire also broke out in one of the camps of the displaced Syrians in the town of Al-Hamra, where two tents were engulfed in flames, while civil defense personnel took control of the fire and limited its spread.
Incidents of fires erupting in the camps of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon are repeated due to the lack of safety and security conditions in these camps, and sometimes intentionally, as happened on the twenty-seventh of last December, when a number of Lebanese people set fire to a camp for the displaced Syrians that includes about 100 tents in the town of Minieh, Akkar district.
